How It Started
We started Plant Mailer because ordering a plant online always felt like rolling the dice. The photos never quite matched what showed up. The packaging was an afterthought. And once the box was opened, you were left figuring the rest out on your own.
We wanted something better than that. Every plant we offer is hand-selected before it ships, packed with real care to survive the journey, and paired with a guide written specifically for that plant — not advice copied and pasted across a hundred different listings.
What began as a small collection of rare aroids has grown into a full catalog of prayer plants, bromeliads, peperomia, and more. The collection's changed. What we care about hasn't.
Where We Started
We didn't start by trying to stock everything. In the beginning, Plant Mailer was a small collection of rare aroids, the kind of plants that were genuinely hard to find done right. We sourced them from growers who clearly cared as much about the plant as we did about getting it to you in one piece.
That intentional approach never changed, even as the catalog grew. Every new plant we add still has to earn its place. It has to be something we'd be proud to send, not just something that would sell. If a plant doesn't meet that bar, it doesn't make the cut, no matter how popular it might be elsewhere.
Today, that same standard runs through prayer plants, bromeliads, peperomia, and everything else we carry. The collection has grown, but the question we ask before adding anything new hasn't changed. Is this a plant we'd genuinely want in our own home? If the answer's yes, it earns a spot in yours.
